A new year shall bring my return

I live in Washington, DC, so naturally I'm surrounded by politics. Which is why it's been way too long since I last posted to this blog. I hear and see things on a daily basis that would make most political junkies salivate like a drooling dog. So with the new year I'll be bringing my sharp wit and unique right-angled look at global politics back to the blog-waves.

So you wanna know why I decided to take nearly a year off from posting to this fun little blog? It was simple really...I needed a job and didn't want my political positions to lessen my chances. I know, ones personal public policy beliefs shouldn't get in the way of a great career. But in these days of various Republican-Derangement-Syndrome's, most hiring managers are unable to put their own beliefs aside when looking at a good job candidate.

Anyhow, I have a few other reasons for taking some time off. One was personal in which I had to deal with moving to a new city, deal with relationships and find my way introspectively. The other was my general distaste for how many view politics. I don't expect everyone to love it like I do. But I do wish more people would pay attention to understand what they get fed on a daily basis. When you see so many people buying into something you know is wrong, how do you not get frustrated?

Then it dawns on me that I have this blog - hobby if you will - to help clear up some of that mis-information. If I can shed some light on just one person a day with my writings, than I feel I've done my part politically in this world. So as we approach the new year, expect more from this Republican. And if you have suggestions on what I should write about or research, let me know. I'd like to hear more from those who read this. And together, somehow, we'll break down the walls of misinformation.
